It looks like Google has temporarily pulled the Wear OS 5 update for the Pixel Watch after some users reported issues with their devices being soft-bricked during the update process. The problem seems to occur when the watch displays a black screen with a small Bluetooth icon, leaving the device unusable without a factory reset.
While most users have updated successfully, enough reports surfaced to prompt Google to halt the rollout until they can fix the issue. Google has provided steps to recover from this problem by performing a reset via Fastboot mode, but it’s not the smoothest experience.
If you’ve already updated and your watch is working fine, there’s no need to worry. But if you’re holding off, it’s best to wait until Google resolves these issues and resumes the update rollout
